Hello, Thank you for choosing to bring your fish to me.
(At this time I am no longer letting people into my home. This is for safety. Your fish will be taken at the front door.
Thank you for understanding, Sorry for the inconvenience)
- I do home pick ups if you live near by 10 min or less. other wise you must be able to drop off or meet at one of the locations listed on contact & location page.
- --Sorry I am not a business, so I am unable to give out receipts.--
- I live in a house/home, I am not a store front.
-
You are welcome to donate your aquariums & supplies you no longer need. I can also use pond supplies.
- Yes you may have your bucket, bowl, zip lock baggie, pots and pans,,, you can have whatever you bring the fish in back. please just say so.
- Note: I do NOT email people asking for their Aquariums or fish. Unless they have posted it for FREE.
- I do not advertise on the craigslist pet section looking for other items. I have no need to.
- I am not AFFILIATED with anyone else that runs a fish saving program or is a rescue. I tend and care for my sanctuary all by myself.
By giving me your fish and aquariums You understand the following::
-
-If you wonder do I rehome some fish the answer is Yes I do.
I freely* rehome all **fishes, both tropical and coldwater species from home tanks, pools and ponds.
sometimes I get many of the same kind of fish such as the guppies, mollies, platies and swords.
There is no reason for me to keep 50 of the same kind of fish. I keep a few the rest
I ask a small adoption fee to insure these fish do not become feeders. Or I donate them to someone elses tank. such as a school tank, etc
-Re-homing -Re-housing and -Re-locating is what I do.
-
Yes I do ask for a adoption fee.( this is to insure they wont be feeder fish)
-
No I am not a real "Rescue" I never have been although I do save fish. It cost A lot of money to be a real rescue and we are talking fish here . not cats and dogs.
-
I have a real job to support what I do. So I am not looking for handouts.
-
No I will not take your fish to the pet store for credit. That is for you to decide if you are looking to get anything out of them.
-
Yes, I may have gotten the fish for free, but hey somebody still has to feed these fish.
-
I will do my very best to make sure the fish goes to a good home.=-)

-Let me give you another example of why I do this.
I was brought a 1 gallon bowl that had a 5 inch fish in it. This fish had been living in the bowl for about 5 years....
yes 5 years with poor water condition you couldn't even see in the bowl. The poor fish had bad eyes/scales/fungus
on it and the body of the fish was bent because it could not stretch out properly. Its eyes were so clouded over you couldn't tell if it even had eyes.
This fish now happily lives in a 125 gallon planted tank, its body/scales/eyes and over all health is 100% better.
(This is what makes me happy to do this.)
-Yet you another example of why I do this.
Some caring owners who have had to part with their pets have made considerable journeys to ensure they get safely to Krissy's Fish Sanctuary. So far the record is a 100 mile return journey to save an 8" Plecostomus catfish that had seen better days.
He now lives in a 600 gallon pool with goldfish. Now he should easily survive another couple of decades.
Remember nobody has to give me anything.
If you do give me anything make sure you have considered the other possibilities.
1.Post a AD on Craigslist.com or Backpage.com for your fish. (There are lots of people who could not afford fish and aquariums without donations)
2.Sell them in the newspaper. (This one will cost you $.)
3.Donate them to a school,church or even a daycare.
4.Take them to a pet store and drop them off. (That way they can be resold at pet store prices)
